For my front cover image I picked out two photographs from the photo shoot and made three different front cover images. The two photographs which I used to experiment are the casual look with my model touching the earphone and the formal look in a same action then, I placed two photographs in layers adding the effects by editing in different contrasts and transparent to see what is most successful. And I decided to use third front cover images as my final front cover image which I thought it turned as most successful front cover image. The purpose of me editing front cover images in this way is because my target groups are mostly officers and business man who still likes to listen to house music so, therefore I wanted to show that they still have the memories of those old times when they used to listen to house musics when they were younger and still listening to house music but in the different style, listening to the house music in smart ways with same feelings as they used to listen to house musics when they were younger.

First, as my initial designs I have created 3 different style of masthead but all in modern ways. For the further development I picked one from my initial designs and experimented by placing the words in different positions. In the first development I chose to make the word "SMART BEAT" as a one word by connecting letter "T" and "B"which it gives very smart and modern look. And for the second one I chose to place the word "BEAT" below "SMART" but "BEAT" in smaller size so the word "SMART" stands out more. So for the final masthead I am going pick out one of them for my front cover.

For the mock ups of my front cover I started by only adding the final masthead design but in the different positions and different sizes and I am going to pick the most successful one as my final choice from my mock ups and develop the one I picked by add the head lines. In the first mock up I connected all the letters to make it in to one word, for the second and third one I left the word "SMART" as it was and placed the word "BEAT" just underneath "SMART" in different sizes. For the final choice from my mock ups I am going to use first one with all the letters connected together because it turned as most successful with my front cover image.
